It was such unexpected news. I think so many of us felt connected to her, even from afar. I feel lucky I got to see her in person and share a small part of her story.
Such a lovely read 🥹 Polly is such a special girl and you have managed to capture the different sides of her charm and why people are so drawn to her so well in your writing!! I also really loved the part about Az and how in her you can see both of her parents, I think that’s so beautiful… thank you for this beautiful piece 🩷
Thank you! Polly really was something special, and I’m so happy to hear the writing captured even a little of that. We're all going to miss our beautiful prickly cactus.
What a lovely text. It made me teary, then made me chuckle... An emotional roller coaster is the perfect tribute to our Queen. Polly deserved the world, but she thought it wasn't enough of a challenge, so she ascended to conquer Manulhalla instead. As one of Polly's many fans, I want to thank you, Pazi, for writing this. I'm glad you got to see her in person and share many pictures of her, too. You captured her hisses, her bleps, her prickly fur, the shiny eyes, the legendary snake hunting video... the full Polly experience.
Thank you so much for this beautiful comment. Writing the piece was cathartic, it helped me process the sadness and remember all the joy Polly gave us. I love the image of her ascending to Manulhalla to continue her conquest… she truly was one of a kind.
An amazingly written tribute. I was both shocked and saddened by her passing (as I was with Lev too). I am envious of both how well you know Polly and also bring able to see her in person. As thankful as I am of the keepers who truly looked after her as best as they could, I cannot thank you and other photographers enough because it is only through you that I was able to see Polly and other manul cats and for that I will be forever grateful to you. Thank you for all your work and patience.
Such a wonderful and touching tribute to this remarkable and charismatic manuless - a bright personality, a northern princess, the fizzy wife of the King of Stump.
A great tribute after an awful bit of news. I’m glad you got to meet Polly and get a sense of her in person.

I was listening to Frank Ocean's Godspeed while reading this. It made for an unexpectedly bittersweet eulogy.
Thank you for this beautiful tribute to our dear Polly.
Thank you so much for putting into words how we all felt after losing Polly. Your descriptions of her are perfect!
Thank you. I'm glad that my words resonate with those who loved Polly so deeply. She will be so greatly missed.
